THE LAMB OF GOD – PART 5 Listen to Audio

Intro: Rev.5:1-13—have looked at traits, character, offering

in prophecy, and death of the Lamb—in REV, Lamb is used

of Jesus 26 times, while Lion is used once.

 

I. The Lamb is now enthroned with the Father-

 

1) Lamb is seen as Sovereign in His own authority-5:6

horns= power     eyes=omniscience, discernment

 

2) The Lamb is potent with power- 5:5 “prevailed”

He is now the object of worship- vs.12

 Lamb = Mediator of world-redemption

              “           “     “      judgment

3) “worthy”- pre-eminently qualified as morally worthy

thru suffering/resurrection to initiate God’s judgment

 

II. The Lamb’s enthronement validates the price

Of His Suffering.

Repeated us of “Lamb” assures us meekness is not

weakness and that might is not right; but right is might.

  His resurrection and ascension assures us of the “thru

death into life” principle.

>Rom.6:4,11 death to sin brings life before God

>John 12;24- death to self brings fruit to God

> II Corinthians 4:7, 10-12

> I Peter 1:10-21- believe the God who raised up the

dead and gave Him glory

 *His resurrection assures us of life after this world—

and where suffering and sacrifice are given for Christ,

there is promotion, privilege and preference by God!
