JESUS CHRIST, THE GREAT PHYSICIAN Listen to Audio

Intro: Luke 5:27-32- among the many great title of

the Lord is “Great Physician”.

 

I. A physician is one licensed to practice the valuable

science of repairing the body and mind.  Lk.4:18

1. Pre-requisite to license is training & testing

2. Jesus faced severe testing of His application of righteous.

3. He repeatedly applied skills to many who came to Him.

4. On the cross, He demonstrated power over death.

 

II. A physician ought to know the name and nature

of the disease that he treats.

1. Jesus said man’s problem was in his heart- Mk.7:14-23

2. He understood the complications of each illness (sin)-

 

III. A physician should skillfully apply correct

treatment.

1. Jesus never misdiagnosed or gave wrong medicine

see Matt.12:46-50 where He saw the will of God as

having powerful curative abilities.

3.  John 8:32

 

IV. In many ways, Christ, as a physician is superior

to even our expectations of a physician.

1. He never lost a patient—John 10:4, 28,  17:12

2. He came before He was needed- Gal.4:4

3. He does not charge you, but pays the bill Himself.

I Pet.1:81-19 – this is what GRACE is!

  Your greatest danger is delay in allowing Him to

treat you!
