Intro: ch.5:1-4- Peter addresses leadership in view of the

crisis of opposition, persecution and difficulty.

I. Note some terms used in scripture for leadership.

II. Note Peter’s characterization of himself- 5:1

1) Fellowelder- reflects parity or equality with elders
