Intro: With the celebration of Father’s Day, we pause to

reflect on our heavenly Father and His patient care for us.

I. THE HEAVENLY FATHER DELIGHTS TO PROVIDE

OUR NEEDS.

Matt.6:25-32- restoring the right concept of the Father to

 Israel was one of Jesus’ desires.

1) People take their view of a bad earthly father and

 project it on the face of Our heavenly Father.

2) We are admonished to seek and to ask of our Heavenly

 Father- Mt.7:7,8,11

II. THE HEAVENLY FATHER DIRECTS OUR SCHOOLING

IN HIS WAYS.  Gal.4:1-7-

  Roman custom of how a boy was given adult powers—

1) Making men & women from boys & girls is difficult, but

no greater than making Saints our of Sinners.

2) His schooling and His lessons include some that are

difficult to learn

III. THE HEAVENLY FATHER DETERMINES OUR

CHASTISEMENTS  IN HIS LOVE.  Heb.12:5-11

1) Chastisements are only for those called “sons”-

2) How wise, patient and understanding is His chastisement.
